Huawei received a subpoena from the US Department of Commerce to focus on exporting technology issues to sanctions countries

Beijing time on June 3 , according to the "New York Times" report, the US Department of Commerce launched an investigation into Huawei's transactions in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan and Syria. As part of the investigation, the US Department of Commerce has issued a subpoena to Huawei.

The US Department of Commerce requires Huawei to submit all information about exporting or re-exporting US technology to these countries. This requirement is part of a US investigation into whether Huawei 's transactions with the above five countries violate US export controls. Since there has been a dispute over issues such as the Syrian war, the United States has imposed export controls on these countries.

According to the report, Huawei has not been accused of any misconduct. The subpoena is essentially an administrative subpoena, not a criminal investigation.

Huawei declined to comment on the subpoena, but said the company complied with the laws and regulations of the location where the business is located. "In particular, Huawei has established a strict code of conduct, conducted rigorous training for employees, formulated detailed policies related to compliance with export control laws, and actively cooperated with relevant government departments in complying with export control laws, including the United States. The Ministry of Commerce," a Huawei spokesperson said in an email.

A US Department of Commerce spokesperson declined to comment.

Huawei is a world leader in the field of telecommunications equipment production. Currently, it has established six R&D centers in the United States, but its share in the US telecommunications infrastructure market is very low. Huawei has tried to expand its business in the United States many times, but the United States has been blocked by national security concerns.

The report said that the United States decided to stop exporting US technology to ZTE earlier this year. After that, the United States sent a subpoena to Huawei.

In March of this year , the US government granted ZTE a temporary export license for three months.
