Ni Gongda: Our company was founded in 1992. It is a private enterprise integrating research, development, production and sales of lighting sources. Since 1998, it has been specialized in the production of "SNODE Snowy" high-grade T4, T5 series rare earth trichromatic double-ended fluorescent lamps, which is the only high-tech enterprise in Hubei electric light source industry.
HC Network: What products does your company have in terms of lamps? What are the characteristics of the product? Where are the main sales?
Ni Gongda: Our main products are T4, T5 rare earth fluorescent lamps, double-ended electrodeless fluorescent lamps, compact fluorescent lamps, etc.
These products have three major characteristics: high efficiency, environmental protection, and energy saving. The first is high efficiency. The luminous efficiency of T4 and T5 light sources is above 90%. Generally, the luminous efficiency of T8 light source is only about 60%. The second is environmental protection. Because mercury and some harmful raw materials are used in the lamp, the pollution is serious. Environmental protection has also become an important issue in this industry. In July last year, the EU issued an environmental protection directive that strictly restricted the content of harmful substances. We have obtained this certificate in the first half of the year. In fact, our products have already reached this standard as early as four years ago; the third is energy saving, T8 The volume of the lamp is large, and the energy consumed is also large. The volume of the T4 and T5 lamps is relatively small, and the energy consumed is naturally small. In addition, the T4 and T5 light sources are not only energy-saving, but also save electricity, which is about 40% less than the T8 lamp. about. In general, T4 and T5 light sources have many advantages over T8 light sources. The only drawback is that they are more expensive than T8 light sources because they use rare earth materials.
Our products are mainly sold to Guangdong and Shanghai, with very few exports. But to make the brand bigger, export is the only way. According to the characteristics of this industry and products, we plan to have 40% of products exported and 60% of products sold in the near future. In China, everyone is squeezing a wooden bridge, resulting in bad competition, increasing pressure, using exports to balance, the company's way out is greater, and the development prospects are broader. I believe that all domestic sales or all export sales are hindering the development of enterprises.
HC Network: More and more enterprises enter this industry, the competition is bound to become increasingly fierce. As you said, reasonable competition is conducive to improving the quality of products and management of enterprises, but competition will also bring pressure to the development of enterprises, then What is your company's standing in the fierce competition?
Ni Gongda: "Building a boutique light source" is the soul of Daming's lighting industry. The so-called "boutique" means that not only in the domestic, but also in Asia, and even in the world, and the three largest international brands, the quality and the world's most advanced enterprises must be comparable in price and service. Do it better.
In the face of world-class big companies, our quality is almost the same as theirs, and the price is only about 1/3 of them, which is our greatest competitiveness.
At home, we are the earliest company to develop T4 and T5 light sources. It has been seven or eight years since 1999. We have always placed quality in the first place, and equipment and materials are the best. Quality is the foundation of an enterprise's survival. I have been involved in this industry for so many years, and I have not seen any product with good quality products will collapse.
HC Network: To ensure the quality of products, companies must have strong technical support as a backing, how does Daming Lighting ensure technical strength?
Ni Gongda: At the beginning, this company was founded by me and my classmates. We are all specialized in electric light source, and our solid professional knowledge guarantees the company's basic technical strength. Because of this, we are very familiar with the talents and technical bottlenecks of this industry. Later, we invited many students and industry elites to come and invest a lot of financial and material resources in technology. In addition, we have technical cooperation with the Institute of Electric Light Sources of Fudan University in Shanghai and the Department of Physics of Yangtze University.
