Currently, the market offers a variety of air purifiers, ranging from portable models to those employing filters, adsorption techniques, complex systems, chemicals, photo catalysis, electrostatics, plasma, and combinations thereof. Among them, the two most common categories are filter-based purification and electrostatic adsorption.
**Filter Adsorption Method**
Most air purifiers on the market use a composite filter, combining activated carbon filters, antibacterial filters, and HEPA filters into a thicker unit. This design allows for a denser structure and a larger surface area. A denser filter enhances the adherence of pollutants, improving purification efficiency. Meanwhile, the expanded surface area increases airflow rates, reduces energy loss, and minimizes operational noise. These improvements significantly enhance user experience in daily life.

**Electrostatic Adsorption**
Electrostatic precipitators (ESP/PLASMA) air purifiers utilize high-voltage direct current electric fields to ionize air molecules, creating numerous electrons and ions. As dusty air passes through the electric field, particles are separated and combine with negative ions, becoming negatively charged. Passing through the dust-collecting net, these particles are attracted to positively charged metal plates, achieving effective dust removal.

With comparable CADR values, their performance was evaluated through various tests, including purification effectiveness and noise levels, offering users informed choices.
