New breakthrough in gesture recognition algorithm uSens Ling released a new version of Fingo SDK

Silicon Valley-based 3D human-computer interaction company uSens recently announced an updated version of their Fingo SDK, making significant advancements in the underlying gesture recognition algorithms. This latest release introduces a range of two-handed interactions, including fist-to-fist, hand-writing, and ten-finger crossings. The improved ability to recognize occluded hand movements allows for the precise tracking of all ten fingers, a technology that leads globally and effectively addresses issues related to gesture-based operations in applications. Launched in February 2017, Fingo combines both hardware and software into one seamless solution. The hardware uses two infrared cameras and three infrared auxiliary lights to track hand movements, while the software leverages computer vision and deep learning algorithms to recognize bone structures of both hands. Most common gestures can now be accurately and quickly identified. After six months of continuous refinement, the new SDK shows marked improvements in overall stability, precision, and diversity of gestures, with particular emphasis on optimizing common gestures. Human hand movements are naturally complex and fluid, involving various hand shapes, punches, finger crosses, and overlapping hands.
