Traveling back and forth between reality and the ancient world is no longer a dream. Although archeology is not easy, it can be made easier in VR. You can walk in the archeological world of VR, as if the original building were still there.

An Australian start-up Lithodomos VR knew the importance of VR archeology, and got an A$900,000 in seed funding.

This Melbourne, Australia-based startup has created a stunning and accurate archeological world in VR for education, travel and entertainment. The company signed a content contract with a museum in Spain and also created a VR video for the Berlin Film Festival, but this is just the beginning.

Simon Young, founder of Lithodomos VR, founded the company in 2016 and hatched in the Mktplace venture. Young recently submitted a doctoral dissertation in archeology to the University of Melbourne.

The company has a group of archeologists, computer modelers, and content distributors. The company's products can be applied to archaeological related sites and can attract high-level discussions and leadership from educational institutions, global hardware and software companies, and archaeologists around the world.

This round of seed financing will allow Lithodomos VR to further its role in VR Archaeology. In fact, Lithodomos VR has already begun expansion plans in Europe.

“Our obsession with archeological accuracy has made us stand out,” said Simon Young, founder and CEO of the company. "In just a few short months, our team of 9 people has transformed from a small idea into a company that integrates the production and distribution of VR content."

He added: "From the very beginning, we had only one goal: to bring everyone an VR archeological world. This round of financing is a step forward."

The company's "Ancient World in VR" is a free app that can be downloaded from the Google Store. In addition, the company also has a paid APP called Ancient Jerusalem in VR, which can be downloaded at the Google Store and the Apple Store.

Lithodomos VR recreates the Arènes de Lutèce in Paris in VR, just like the Roman Arena 2000 years ago. Users can experience it at home through a VR helmet.
