Yesterday, Keysight Technologies, the company born out of HP and Agilent, unveiled three groundbreaking solutions in Shenzhen. These innovations cover a wide range of fields, including 77GHz millimeter wave measurements, 5G technology, and modularization. This marks another significant step forward for Keysight in maintaining its leadership in the measurement industry, particularly in the Internet of Things (IoT) era.
The event took place during Keysight's annual test and measurement conference on August 22nd in Shenzhen. The three new products introduced are truly revolutionary. The first is the N9041B, a millimeter wave spectrum and signal analysis product that operates up to 120 GHz with exceptional accuracy, providing amplitude stability of less than 0.015 dB and phase stability of less than 0.15 degrees. This tool is designed to help developers in cutting-edge technology areas confidently characterize their millimeter wave designs.
The second product is the PXIe microwave signal generator M9383A, which can produce complex waveforms up to 44 GHz with modulation bandwidths up to 1 GHz. This makes it ideal for generating quasi 5G waveforms with an 800 MHz bandwidth, meeting the critical 1% EVM requirement for 5G modulated signals.
The third innovation is the industry's first 92Gs/s modular OMA solution, the M8290A. This system combines digitizer and AWG modules, offering a significant advancement in modular measurement tools.
This year, the conference focused on "Creating the IoT Era, Leading the Smart Future," showcasing Keysight's latest technology applications and test solutions across various domains such as PAM-4, high-speed digital, radar target simulation, 5G, IoT, automotive networking, drones, next-generation cellular and wireless technologies, and nanomaterial testing.
One of the highlights was the 5G waveform generation and analysis test solution. This solution offers a highly flexible test platform for 5G testing, supporting multiple 5G candidate waveforms. Additionally, the 5G test software package helps customers smoothly transition through the NR standardization phase.
In the automotive sector, Keysight's millimeter wave radar simulation solution uses 24 or 77 GHz radar technology to simulate different distances, speeds, and radar cross-section targets. This capability is crucial for the development of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving technology.
For IoT devices, Keysight demonstrated ultra-low current testing based on BLE and signaling power testing based on NB-IoT. Their CX3300 ultra-low current analysis solution offers a sampling rate of 1 GSa/s, up to 200 MHz sampling bandwidth, and exploration accuracy up to 150 pA. This tool helps engineers better design and optimize products by controlling different working modes such as connection, power-saving, hibernation, and retransmission.
In the drone industry, Keysight's UAV test platform includes flight control system testing, communication link testing, and signal detection and positioning for UAVs and remote controllers. Their Signal Studio software simulates satellite signals for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou systems. Additionally, their UAV and remote control signal monitoring and positioning solutions use RF sensor networks to locate drones and their controllers using Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) and Received Signal Strength (RSS) algorithms.
For 400G transmission design, Keysight introduced the M8040A 64 Gbaud high-performance bit error rate tester, the 100 GHz bandwidth sampling oscilloscope module N1046A, and the latest release of the M8290A Modular OMA product.
In the realm of next-generation cellular and wireless communication technologies, Keysight offers comprehensive test solutions. Their WLAN signaling test solution supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ax standards, up to 8x8 MIMO, and OTA test requirements. Their intelligent terminal functional test solution supports stable, bidirectional data throughput in up to 5CC downlink and 2CC uplink scenarios, accommodating FDD-TDD hybrid carrier aggregation, LTE-U, and 256QAM downlink.
Keysight's Test Automation TAP platform provides powerful test sequence and plan design capabilities with a scalable modular architecture. This allows users to leverage existing plugins or develop custom ones, offering flexible testing solutions with bandwidths up to 1 GHz.
Keysight helps customers bring innovative electronics and systems to market faster and at a lower cost, covering the entire lifecycle from design to network optimization. Their customers span industries such as communications, Internet infrastructure, aerospace and defense, automotive, semiconductors, and general electronic terminals. In FY2016, Keysight achieved revenues of $2.9 billion.
These innovations underscore Keysight's commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology and providing comprehensive solutions across diverse industries.
