Seoul Semiconductor's annual revenue will exceed 1 billion US dollars

Recently, Shen Shiji, chairman of Seoul Semiconductor of South Korea, said in an exclusive interview that revenue in the past 10 years has grown nearly 10 times, and annual revenue is about to break through the $1 billion mark.

Seoul Semiconductor attaches great importance to the research and development of Acrich technology. Acrich technology products are only half of the current traditional lighting products, and the energy efficiency is as high as 90%, which is much higher than about 50% of the incandescent lamps. Seoul Semiconductor’s revenue target for the Acrich brand this year is $100 million.

The company said that the next goal is to further increase the brightness of LED lights, while lowering the price of the products, so that the price of LED lights is reduced to the same as the daylights.

In terms of the future market size of LEDs, the company said that LEDs have not yet broken into the average family, and the potential of LEDs to replace traditional daylights and fluorescent lamps is quite large. Japan and the United States are currently leading the trend in the replacement of consumer lighting equipment with LEDs.
