Guangzhou establishes lighting association to promote LED development

On November 26th, the “Guangdong Lighting Association Inauguration Conference and Lighting Academic Summit Forum” was held in Guangzhou Panyu Changlong International Conference and Exhibition Center. The Guangdong Provincial Civil Affairs Department, Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Department, Guangdong Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau, and Guangzhou City Lighting Construction Management The relevant leaders of the center, as well as more than 200 people from companies such as the Guangdong Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute, the Institute of Sun Yat-sen University of Foshan and other institutes, members of the media, and the media attended the inaugural meeting.

A representative of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Civil Affairs attended the establishment meeting and announced that the Guangdong Provincial Lighting Institute approved the preparation for the establishment of the file. This marks the official establishment of the first academic social organization led by the Guangdong Provincial Quality Supervision System. The General Assembly voted on the basic documents of the “Guangdong Provincial Institute of Illumination Charter”, “Member Management Measures” and “Financial Management Measures”. The election was led by Prof. Wang Gang, Ph.D. The first board consisting of people, the senior engineer of Luo Guangxia, the deputy general manager of Guangzhou Guangri Electric Equipment Co., Ltd., and the first board of supervisors of Zhu Chunhong, the director of the Lighting Center of the Technical Center of Zhongshan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau.

In the morning of the same day, the Guangdong Provincial Lighting Society held its first council and elected the leading institution of the society. The conference elected the Academician Liu Songhao of South China Normal University as the Honorary Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Wang Gang, Dean of the Institute of Sun Yat-sen University, Foshan City, and Prof. Wang Gang, the Vice President of the Guangdong Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute, as the executive vice president. Chairman of the Board of Directors, Deputy Director of the Development Planning Department of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Department, Yun Dan is 15 vice president, and Li Zili, senior director of the Lighting Department of Guangdong Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute is the Secretary General.

At the founding conference of the Guangdong Provincial Lighting Society, participating leaders and representatives reached consensus on the positive significance of the establishment of the Institute and the future direction of development. Leaders and representatives agreed that the establishment of the Lighting Society will help to unite and mobilize lighting science and technology workers and members in Guangdong Province to attract the integration of academic elites in the lighting field in Guangdong, to the lighting industry, to serve the local economy, and to actively carry out academic discussions and Exchange, train industry talents, promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and provide academic guidance and technical support for the prosperity of Guangdong lighting industry, especially the sustainable development of LED lighting.
