Seoul Semiconductor was elected as one of the top 10 semiconductor manufacturing industry patent strengths

Seoul Semiconductor is known for being the only LED manufacturer with the highest level of patent strength. According to IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Spectrum's 2012 patent strength ranking, Seoul Semiconductor ranks among the top 10 LED patents in semiconductor manufacturing.

Since its establishment more than 20 years ago, Seoul Semiconductor has made great efforts in the development of LED technology, with more than 10,000 patents, because of its various proprietary technologies, it has considerable technical competitiveness in the global market, such as when the charge Technology that facilitates efficient excitation of light when flowing on LED chips, Black Hole lens technology for direct-backlit TVs, and Acrich technology, the world's first direct AC operation without AC/DC converters.
