RAID 0:

RAID 1:

While this provides excellent redundancy and reliability, it reduces the total usable storage space by half. All disks in a RAID 1 array must be the same size, otherwise the total capacity is limited to the smallest disk.
RAID 5:
RAID 5 combines striping with parity information distributed across all disks. This means that even if one disk fails, the data can still be reconstructed using the parity information stored on the remaining disks. RAID 5 offers a good balance between performance and data protection, though it has slightly slower write speeds due to the need to calculate and store parity data. It’s a popular choice for environments that require both performance and some level of redundancy.
RAID 10:
RAID 10 is a combination of RAID 0 and RAID 1, offering both speed and redundancy. It works by first creating mirrored pairs (RAID 1) and then striping data across those mirrors (RAID 0). This setup provides fast performance and high reliability, making it ideal for mission-critical applications. However, it requires at least four disks and results in lower overall storage efficiency compared to RAID 5.
