GE's Global R&D Center has announced that the aircraft engine dual cooling technology developed by the company has been successfully applied in LED lighting. The LED luminaire equipped with this new cooling technology can achieve illuminance of 1500 lumens, which is equivalent to a 100 watt halogen lamp, but only requires one third of its energy. The technology also reduces the number of LED chips , increases lamp life and reduces lamp size and weight.
