Drought and Less Rain Make Vietnam Less Generate 3 Billion Degrees

According to the “Vietnamese Investment News” reported on December 8th, deputy general manager of Vietnam Power Group Yang Guangcheng said that due to drought and less rain, the water level of major reservoirs was significantly lower than the normal level during the same period, resulting in insufficient power generation of the hydropower station, and it is expected to generate 3 billion kilowatt hours less electricity. It is expected that the electricity demand in Vietnam in 2011 will be 117.3 billion KWh, which represents an increase of 16.34%. Power shortages will remain an eternal topic in Vietnam.
