"De-powering" is the general trend?

[Text|High-tech LED reporter Xiong Yuheng] The driving power supply accounts for 20%-30% of the cost of LED whole lamps. With the decline of the price of devices and lighting products, it also brings a lot of price reduction pressure to the driving power supply. The drive power is the biggest short board of LED lamps. According to industry insiders, 99 out of 100 broken lights are due to power problems. Therefore, the development of LED lighting must first solve the power supply problem.

Under the dual pressure of cost and quality, a new driving method "de-energization technology" came into being. "De-energize" technology is the elimination of some of the devices that affect the life of the power supply. The technical route of electroless capacitor and de-energization can solve the problem that the electrolytic capacitor affects the life of the power supply on the one hand, and can further reduce the overall cost of the power supply on the other hand.

At the 2014 High-tech LED Annual Meeting, the "Smart Lighting Mining Your Next Gold Mine" sub-forum named by Zhongheng Powerway Power, Liu Yaoping, vice president of Maoshuo Power, mentioned that under the pressure of cost, "go power "It will become a new technical direction in the LED power industry, thus achieving the characteristics of LED lamps with lower cost, smaller size, longer life, higher reliability and easier automation.

However, Liu Yaoping also mentioned that “de-energization” is a general trend. However, its stroboscopic, poor resistance to grid fluctuations, poor resistance to pressure, and poor resistance to lightning strikes have not been well resolved. Therefore, whether it will become the mainstream trend of the LED industry in the future, yet to be further verified.

"De-powering" into a new trend Liu Yaoping said that there are two main design ideas for power-off: AC-LED and HV-LED. AC-LEDs are also designed with LEDs for their rectifier bridges. The rectifier bridges are also part of the illumination. The advantage is that the size can be designed to be very small.

The difference between HV-LED and AC-LED is that the rectifier bridge is not in the design range of the light source. In the luminaire design, the mature rectifier bridge part can be greatly reduced. Compared with LV-LEDs, HV-LEDs no longer require power conversion, and drive efficiency and circuit design are greatly simplified.

At present, foreign markets are dominated by SEOUL SEMICONDUCTOR and Lynk Labs' AC-LED driver IC engine technology. Texas Instruments has also extended their products to LED driver field and introduced new AC. - LED driver IC designed to simplify engines based on AC-LED drive technology.

Although the market share of domestically applied AC-LED driver chips is not high at present, it is only about 10%. However, with the increase in the R&D and investment of AC-LED driver chips by foreign IC giants, more and more companies are involved in the “de-powering” business, including the domestically-accelled and excellent domestic and foreign companies. Drive IC companies.

Chen Heng, general manager of the company, told reporters that in the next two years, 80-90% of LED industry companies will adopt AC-LED IC driver solutions.

Difficulties in the promotion of technical defects Although there are various advantages in the power-driven drive technology, in Liu Yaoping's view, the de-energized drive technology will not replace the traditional drive light source, but there is a situation of coexistence. After all, due to the current lack of domestic LED power standards, these non-capacitor solutions cannot pass the safety, EMI, and high-speed harmonic tests in accordance with international export standards.

The industry believes that there are two congenital defects in the de-energized drive technology, heat dissipation problems and grid fluctuations, which affect the output rate. Although the LED power driver solution using the electroless capacitor solution solves the problem of the life of the LED lighting fixture, the lack of a capacitor, the energy storage component, does not function as a stable voltage.

Peng Fuwen, deputy general manager of Huaquan Electric, said that the biggest advantage of de-energizing drive technology is its low cost, but it cannot be used in high-end lighting due to its weak surge resistance, output ripple and failure to pass EMC tests. Use at the place.

Liu Yaoping also mentioned that "de-energized" products and traditional drive power products are separated in terms of use due to their different characteristics. The de-energized products are mainly used for Indoor Lighting, home lighting and some public lighting in low power, while the traditional driving is mainly used for high-power road lighting, industrial (industrial, factory) lighting, landscape lighting and so on.

The industry believes that even if the "de-energization" technology still has various defects, it can still be applied in some occasions where the requirements for lamps are not high. Delipu product manager Pu Cheng said that the "de-energized" drive technology will have a huge impact on the non-isolated power supply in the civilian market.

Led Tube light

LED tube is commonly known as light tube, daylight tube, its light source using LED as the luminous body. Led tube has many advantages, using led as the light source, light efficiency is higher, more energy saving, longer service life, and more environmental protection. It is generally used for general lighting, office buildings, shopping malls, restaurants, schools, homes, factories and other indoor lighting. LED tube can save more than 70% electricity, and its life is more than 10 times that of ordinary light (in theory, it can reach more than 50,000 hours). It does not need to be replaced frequently. At the same time, LED tube has soft light, pure color, which is beneficial to people's vision protection and health.
