The climate organization demonstration project will install 43 ç› solar LED street lights in 43 ç› in Chongqing’s Yinan County and 15 and æ•– in Pengping Town and Zhongjiang County, Chengdu. It is planned to complete the installation and commissioning of street lamps in early June. According to reports, the Solar LED Lighting Thousand Villages Demonstration Project was officially launched by the Climate Organization and the One Foundation in Guiyang on August 22, 2009. It aims to cooperate with local governments, enterprises and related institutions through 1,000 in China and around the world. In the village, the solar LED lighting technology demonstration project will be implemented within 5 years to promote the more mature and large-scale application of solar LED lighting. The project will last for 5 years and the first two years of the project will involve 400 villages in China.
In the process of jointly carrying out LED demonstration and promotion projects and realizing “low carbon†lighting, the climate organization will be responsible for the technical specifications and expert support of the LED pilot project.
