Intelligent projection Raiders: projector installation methods and precautions Raiders[detailed]

What is the method of installing the projector? What to look out for during the entire installation process? It is well known that if a projector fails during the installation process, first, it will definitely affect the projector's delivery effect, and secondly, there will be hidden installation risks during the later use process. For example, the projector hangs. If the rack is loose (if you are using a hanger installation method), this is not an alarmist, there have been similar cases.

Today, the author and everyone together to share the projector installation method, steps and possible problems in the installation process.

Projector installation method

1, desktop placement

Although the desktop projection does not look very beautiful, but you can save those tedious steps, you only need to prepare a table, you can also buy some dedicated mobile projector frame to put the projector, put the projector up , Connect the cable to achieve large-screen projection.

Advantages: convenient, quick, economical, and convenient to adjust the shift.

Disadvantages: Affected by the room environment, it is easy to touch the projector or kick the wire.

2, lifting

For the average home theater user, the projector is the best choice for lifting, but the wiring is troublesome, and the need to drill holes in the wall, these details need to be considered in advance.

Advantages: Affected by the room environment, after the initial adjustment to the best projection effect, you do not need to adjust each time you turn on the power. That is, you can watch the movie and it is difficult to touch the wire.

Disadvantages: Inconvenient wiring, need to drill holes in the wall, clean the projector, or replace the projector lamp.

3, bracket placement

The bracket is placed in a manner equivalent to the combination of the first two. It is also necessary to make a hole in the wall, but the position of the hole is not on the ceiling, but on the back wall, and then a tripod or wooden cabinet is installed on the wall. Place the projector.

Advantages: It is not easy to touch the machine, it is not as big as lifting, it is more convenient to clean the projector or replace the projector lamp.

Disadvantages: Need to punch holes in the wall, need to install additional brackets, brackets protruding, messy alignment may damage the appearance of the living room.

According to their own needs (convenience, practicality) and environmental constraints determine the installation of the projector, and then determine the projection distance and screen size. For example, where is the projector installed (the current mainstream installation method is lifting), the height of the projector generally does not have a rigid requirement, the distance from the indoor to the ceiling is not the same. The height of the curtain can be determined on its own based on the images released.

How to determine the installation distance and projection distance

Whether you are arranging a projector in the living room or in the audio-visual room, you cannot ignore the influence of the projection distance on the screen size. Since each projector has a different projection ratio, be sure to read the manual before installing the projector, and install the projector according to the projection distance table in the manual, or calculate it according to the projection ratio parameter.

1, installation distance

The installation distance refers to the distance between the installation position of the projector and the projection screen before the projector is installed. This distance basically determines how large the projection screen you can get. The following data is for reference only. A 90-inch screen can be obtained for 3 meters or more, a 100-inch screen can be obtained for 3.5 meters or more, and a 120-inch screen can be obtained for 4.2 meters or more. (The screen ratio is 16:9)

2, projection distance

The projection distance refers to the distance between the projection lens and the projection screen. This value is closely related to the projection size. The larger the projection distance, the larger the available screen size; the smaller the projection distance, the smaller the available screen size.

Due to the different lens specifications of different models of projectors, there is no uniform reference standard for projection distance. The projection distance of the projector can be checked through the instructions. From the above figure, we can see that this projector can shoot a 100-inch 16:9 screen between 3.52m and 4.22m. If the actual installation distance is less than 3.5 meters, only 100 inches below the screen can be projected without having to purchase. 100-inch or 100-inch projection screen.

Projection distance table

In addition to the projection distance table provided in the manual, we can also calculate the projection distance by using the “projection ratio” in the specification parameters. For example, the projection ratio of a projector is 1.5-1.8:1, and the screen size refers to the above figure. The 120-inch shortest projection distance=the projection ratio×the screen width=1.5×2.657=3.99 meters and the longest projection distance=1.8× 2.657=4.78 meters. In other words, this projector is between 3.99-4.78 meters and can shoot a 120-inch 16:9 screen, suitable for environments where the installation distance is 4 meters or more.

Projector lifting steps and precautions

1, the installation of lifting the projector

The projector with lifting function generally has a dedicated lifting hole at the bottom of the machine, which is used to connect with the hanger. This kind of hanger is very common, and there is a universal hanger suitable for various models. Inverted lifting models must have the image mirror function. Some domestic single-chip LCD projectors do not support the mirror image function. This type of machine adopts a hanger for standing installation and is relatively rare on the market. The manufacturers who produce the projectors are generally sold.

Because the whole machine that uses the lifted projector is heavy, it is necessary to pay special attention to the strength when selecting hangers and screws by yourself. The accident that the drop occurred due to the screw quality or screw depth is not enough, but some domestic Inadequate design of the machine has a circuit or connection at the bottom of the lifting hole. If the screw is screwed in too deep, the circuit board may be damaged or short-circuited.

2, projector lifting attention

1) Selection of wire

Most of the light source drivers for early domestic projectors use magnetic ballasts, and the power factor is between 0.4 and 0.5. Although the overall power consumption is about 200W, the actual overall current is around 2A, and some manufacturers The logo is ambiguous and the nameplate is used to identify the power consumption of the entire machine. If the current is calculated based on the identification information, the current will be twice as low. Selecting the wire diameter according to this current is very dangerous for the project, especially for dozens of units. After the above large users install and use power distribution.

2) Note the size of the space

Since the size of the entire space directly affects the audiovisual effect of the theater, when placing the projector, it must be a certain distance from the wall or the curtain in order to achieve the best display effect; as for the hearing, in order to achieve a realistic situation, The room where the projector is placed is preferably rectangular, which can play a unique role in modulating the harmony of sound effects.

3) Pay attention to the impact of the environment

In terms of projection effects, it is recommended that curtains be installed in the room to block outdoor light. At the same time, the walls and floor of the room should not use reflective materials as much as possible, so that the brightness of the lamp can be lowered to extend the service life, and other details can also be prevented from affecting the video. The fidelity of the effect.

In addition, do not put the seat near the audio equipment or loudspeaker when watching, which will make the sound effect become very poor. Therefore, before carrying out the overall installation, according to the conditions of the site, the layout plan for various types of equipment should be performed first, the placement position of the equipment and the layout of the lines should be determined, and the related equipment layout plan should be drawn.

4) Design of electrical circuits

Electrical lines include strong AC power lines and weak audio and video signal lines. The level difference between the two is several hundred times. In order to reduce interference and prevent accidents caused by aging of the power line insulation layer, the power line and signal line must not be the same. Wear a tube, and try not to run parallel lines. Avoid unavoidable positions that are more than 60 cm apart. Many projects are costly or ignorant. This is a common practice.
