SAIC Volkswagen announced that the new Tiguan L will debut on December 15, 2016 (now today). The new car is 226mm longer than the overseas version of TIguan, and the wheelbase is extended by 110mm. After the extension, the rear space is more abundant, more in line with the Chinese. Demand and ride comfort will also be greatly improved. It is reported that the new car is expected to be officially listed in January 2017.
The exterior design is expected to be basically the same as the imported version of the new TIguan, and it has changed dramatically compared to the previous generation. The new car is also equipped with an 8-inch MIB multimedia interactive system, and the 4MOTION AcTIve Control driver assist mode selector knob is also available.
In addition, the car is also equipped with HUD head-up display, automatic headlights, panoramic sunroof, one-button start, electronic parking, automatic start and stop, automatic parking and so on.
The length, width and height of the new-generation Tiguan are 4712/1839/1673mm, the wheelbase is 2791mm, and the length and wheelbase are 226mm and 110mm respectively. The overall design of the new car is consistent with the overseas version. Due to the lengthening of the car body, the details of the rear triangular window shape have been adjusted, and the side length is obviously longer. There are still five layouts in the car.
In terms of power, the new car offers 2.0TSI high and low power training. The maximum power is 132kW (180PS) and 162kW (220PS) respectively. The tails correspond to 330TSI and 380TSI respectively. In order to make the price look more intimate, it is possible to introduce a model equipped with a 1.4TSI engine, and the manual transmission model will be retained. In addition, both models are available with a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox.
